Do guys like smart girls? Like would you go for someone smarter than you/making more money than you? I’ve had a lot of guys ghost the second they realize I’m in a STEM major

I’m a math PhD student and I have ended at least half of my dates with girls over them not giving a shit about me being in STEM. I actively seek out girls who are in STEM. I don’t understand guys who want to date girls who are less smart than them, that sounds boring. I personally want someone who I can have interesting conversations with and learn from. So yeah I love smart girls, I’d take a girl 10X smarter than me over just about anything

Yes. I mean like money isn’t something I look at when going to date someone but I prefer to date women that are around as smart as me if not smarter than me

As someone pursuing multiple stem degrees, I don’t think they’re very qualitative markers of intelligence. I personally don’t have an issue with someone being more intelligent or making more money than me, those are good qualities to have. I prioritize more important things like character and compatibility though

I'm a guy studying the humanities and for me, never! I love when someone has a passion for anything, no matter what it is, and if that's STEM, I love hearing about what the person is up to

I’m also a math PhD and I totally concur with everything you’re saying. I would in fact have reservations about dating a woman that wasn’t pursuing at least some graduate degree. Ambition and curiosity are two of the most important personal characteristics I would look at

I just realized my first sentence is odd and sounds like I'm saying no to your question, just to make it clear, my answer is yes! I think it's super cool you're in STEM, and I think the right person for you will be supportive and not judgmental of you being interested in your work

I’m also a PhD student, but in medical physics. I like women smarter than me. Especially since my career will be clinical and academic and I have a residency after. It’s a long road but someone intelligent who also appreciates that is a freaking gem. I will say however, it’s tough dating someone who makes more money than you only because the 7 relationships I’ve seen my boys get into where the girl made more money she always broke up with the guy for not making enough.
