I mean like basic pleasantries and like if I clearly am upset about something and I want to talk to you about it, then yeah like let’s talk about work. But most days where things were neutral or okay, I want to come home and like live my life with you. Let’s talk about what new food we’re going to make for dinner tonight? What trail do we want to take this weekend in the mountains? Oh my god did you see those new pair of shoes? That kind of stuff. Actual “life” things, before work ain’t life
Hmm, I’ve never really considered just not bringing it up at all. Growing up when you get home you get asked how your day was and a simple “good” wasn’t enough so I’m used to a somewhat in depth answer. I know not everyone is like this but when I ask I always find myself asking follow-up questions to get the answer I’m looking for in a sense. But I like that, I’m definitely going to keep that in mind. Talk about the “life” things because work truly isn’t life, it just happens to consume time
I’d also keep in mind some people like talking about their day. I think it depends on the person and you should develop your relationship to what fits yall, not what fits the third parties on yikyak. I imagine there are plenty of guys that enjoy it, I just personally don’t apart from something really cool or something really bad that I feel like I have to talk about. But for 95% of days it feels more like a chore
