I hate being a lover girl. Any advice on not being someone that yearns? I always cherish the good memories of my exes, I keep a part of them w me, but it seems I never existed to them. I'm just scared to date someone new and the cycle repeats

find someone who values you for you, then you’ll be able to yearn freely and they’ll yearn for you back :)

Where I date the new guy, I give him the world, he breaks up w me, and then I'm STUCK on him for 3-4 years and am single by choice until I'm ready to date again

I think what I have started to do is make a big list I want in a partner. And to kinda not get attached until they kinda fit that list (maybe not fully but like yk) similar to what the girl did 2 posts down

Honestly you might be on to something here. I should do this too. It's like a form of self-love ig, like what it is that we deserve in a partner

Yea it helped me get over someone I was in love with for months and months and she wouldn’t even give me the time of day. Like I deserve communication or whatever. Typically it’s nonphysical things but more actions and how they make you feel

Cause physical attraction is just person to person tbh

i agree. there's certain qualities i need to have in a partner to have a decent relationship. also it would help to categorize qualities based on negotiables and non-negotiables
