A genuine question: are men intimidated by girls who wear hijab ? Like i have good professional ties but not friendly ones. Even if I am awed by someone I don’t approach them because i think they would never consider someone like us.

99% of men are not intimidated by that. A lot of men won’t approach you because of it, though

Probably bc girls who wear hijab are Muslims and Muslim women aren’t allowed to date and only allowed to marry Muslim men so it’s respectful to not approach

No I just don’t think I could date a very religious person

I’ve wanted to approach a girl in a hijab before but didn’t because I wasn’t sure how’d they’d take it and if there looking for someone outside there culture not sure if this answers your question but ig somewhat

It’s not intimidating it’s more so that u may not prefer men who don’t practice the same religion as you!!

Not really, the intimidating part would be meeting her family (I’m a Christian)

Not at all it’s just a respect thing, we don’t know how religious you are and we don’t want to cause offense

I’ve liked women who wear it but I’m hesitant to pursue them because I didn’t want to seem disrespectful.

Exactly. Yeah as a Muslim guy if I want to talk to a girl I wouldn't initially talk to them directly. I'd go through an intermediary to gauge her interest first and follow up with her dad or wali so they know my intentions and approve of me to continue talking. And that’s not just a hijab intimidation thing lol, I’d treat any woman the same out of respect and holding to my beliefs

Not sure why this was downvoted, I think it’s a perfectly good reason to be hesitant

It’s not against my faith to marry someone of another faith, so long as you do so with the hope of their conversion and you both agree to baptize your children into the Church. That might be a difficult thing to agree on, but it’s not impossible if both people truly love one another.

Besides, even if it doesn’t work out in the end, it’d still be a great opportunity for both people to grow in their understanding of other perspectives.
