This guy didn’t want to have sex with me because I had alcohol “allegedly”. Is that a reasonable thing or was it something else?

A good man knows that it isnt possible to reach consent if one party is intoxicated, they are not in their right mind to make a decision regarding that. If thats sincerely what it was, then that is a good move on his part. If you arent in your right mind to be able to say yes, then that also includes making an informed decision in a moment where consent is factored in. Take a bit, get some rest, come back to that in a later bit.

Don’t be surprised it’s just a man with morals. Big shaman out.

Personally, as someone that doesn’t drink, and therefore doesn’t understand alcohol well, I wouldn’t sleep with someone that had alcohol.

We are constantly told women can’t consent if they’re intoxicated

It’s absolutely possible, most of the times I’ve had sex with someone for the first time I was pretty drunk and still fully and knowingly consented, the alchohol just made me less shy. Half the reason people go to bars is to fuck, pretending you can’t consent when you’re drunk is ridiculous. Obviously if someone is blackout or super wasted it’s different.
