for those of u on dating apps, how much of a woman’s profile do u generally look at/read before liking? like do u read all of her prompts, check her dating/life goals, as well as looking at pics, or more photo focused? i’m curious

Photos matters first, maybe a quick skim to filter out the red flags. if we match then ill look at the rest and determine if I want to proceed

Depends on my mood. Normally all of it because only half of woman have bios and more than two photos.

I’d assume not at all with the amount of Christian conservatives that swipe on my atheist liberal profile 🫩

that’s why i’m asking lol, like i’ll get likes from dudes who have listed that they’re looking for a “life partner” and under kids say they want kids, and be conservative, while i have the “short term open to long” and “no kids” and politics as “liberal”. like what said to this dude that we’d be compatible😭

what qualifies as red flags to u? why not just read the whole profile to make sure u don’t miss crucial things like kids or substance use or politics? i’m not trying to start an argument to be clear i just want to understand

if there’s a major difference in like what kind of relationship ur looking for or another major compatibility thing like that, would u still like if u thought she was attractive? like obviously attraction has to be there, im the same way, but would u still like if there was a major mismatch somewhere else?

It’s a time thing, as guys, we don’t get matches as often as most girls would, so it’s more efficient to like the look first then invest

is it not disappointing to match with someone then realize that there’s a major dealbreaker for u that u would have noticed if u had just read the whole profile? would it not be more efficient to make sure that person is someone u could actually date before setting urself up for some expectation of at least conversation? like to me those are both really frustrating

Sure but then you just don’t continue the interaction. I don’t think you realize the statistics of being a male on a dating app, lots of us are used to things not leading to anything. The logistics simply aren’t in our favor
