Men feel responsible for protecting and providing for women at a deep subconscious level. To end a relationship is to admit we failed to do that and we would have to accept we are not good protectors/providers.

It’s uncomfortable to end a relationship if it’s only the guy that’s lost attraction. Everything else is the same but you’re not feeling her anymore. People don’t like being uncomfortable.
