When it comes to dating, I'm a very traditional woman in a traditional area. In my opinion, the few dollars that a man saves by splitting a bill/check isn't worth more than the respect/trust that he loses. I've never really understood why some guys do it?

If I take someone out and they are guzzling down 20-30 dollar cocktails I have no problem splitting the bill with them lol

🤦‍♂️ I was willing to hear you out, but reading your comments in here, I can tell you right now that you’re going to be very incompatible even with a lot of well meaning men. Good luck though 👍

Traditional to the point that if we are splitting a bill I'd just assume we're friends or he's not serious about me. I've never picked up a bill on a date. If we're just meeting one another and we go for coffee or something small then maybe I have but I think only once.

I guess if I were a guy I just wouldn't take someone out to a place that I couldn't afford.

We should be wanting to impress and desire each other, as both people are the “prize”

I never said anything about prizes so I'm kinda confused where that comes from. Of course both people should be interested and active in the relationship!

Then you paying for part would show interest to me too

Ohhh I see. I don't conflate $ and expressions of interest. A lot of guys have money and a lot of guys can spend their money on women but that doesn't mean that they're interested in the woman or in a real relationship with a woman.

It seems you whole post is about how not spending money means no interest

I never said the word interest so I'm not sure where that came from but that's not what I mean! At all haha

What if he really likes the woman but the woman wants to go somewhere fancy. Imo I think the person who asked the other out should pay the bill or the bill is split just on a first date. But ig since you’re “traditional” you wouldn’t ask anyone out anyways

Thanks I suppose. I've had a lot of success and enjoyment with dating 🥳 again maybe it's just because guys where I'm from share the same outlook on finances and caring for women/partners and such

Then he or both of them can save up and go when they can afford it..? Money should never be an issue imo like don't go broke trying to go out somewhere you can't afford
