androgenetic alopecia. he can grow it back with minoxidl (over the counter) and finasteride/dutasteride (prescription). it's recommended that you use both, so the doctors will likely recommend both minoxidl and finasteride. only switch to dutasteride instead of fin if he feels like it hasn't maintained/grown after 8-12 months of using fin.
