Oooh I learned this one in 1st grade! When someone says hi, you say hi back! It’s how people greet each other, hope this helps. (Seriously just say hey back with a compliment, it’ll get you halfway in the door with most guys)

Ask him questions about something in his profile. If there’s a picture that looks like there’s a story behind it, or an interest he mentions in his bio.

If you want to spice it up a little, you could also say “hello,” “howdy,” or (my favorite) “ahoy!”
