go to social events or go to some hobby clubs based on your interests. proximity to ppl increases your probability to get close with them. also, don't shy away platonic friendships either, bc those friends can introduce you to more people

even though a lot of people have their own bubbles, there are also others in the same boat as you, or are open to meeting new people despite already having their own bubbles. "bubbles" always started from people not knowing eachother, but if you just shy away because you're not "close enough" to fit in and know nobody, then it's just a self fulfilling prophecy

Yeah, good friends will introduce you to already vetted social circles. Your friends filter out people they don’t get along with, so you end up with groups you’re more likely to be compatible with
