As Henry the 8th proved gender comes from the male chromosome. So he has to only look in the mirror if he’s upset over a kids gender. As for being unhappy about guys and girls. The line gets blurrier every day and kids pick their genders and even choose to go without having a gender identity. Who the fuck cares if they’re born with or without a penis, still gonna be a hell of a lot of trouble either way lol 😂

Hopefully not that sounds crazy. Like amethyst said, you should have a fairly good idea if your husband is open to raising girls or not. The attitude that if a woman doesn’t have a boy she’s somehow failed her family is an ancient one but a view that is tolerated less and leas in western cultures

Idk i keep seeing videos of men throwing hissy fits bc their gender reveal was pink. Bc men just wanna spread their unimportant last name acting like they’re royalty and not a construction worker

I think your last statement makes a good point 😭 the desire to carry on your family name seems to be a more lower class phenomena. All the hyphenated last name kiddos are children of doctors and lawyers n stuff

That’s very true. Bc the men who do well with their lives marry women who do well with theirs and he’s not insecure. Thank God I’m getting my PhD, I’ll just find a man who is doing the same. Thank you oranguru

Congrats on the PhD ! I’m doing a math PhD rn and have every intention of hyphenating my kids name or just letting them have my wife’s name, it’s a small consolation for giving birth to a whole ass human.
