Are you willing to admit you are wrong about that statistic, or would you rather go to jail? đŸ€”

You posted this in ask women and got called out for not providing proof in the article that you provided.

Penn state just came out with a study showing women would rather go to jail than admit they were wrong

Also not surprised, you dont need a study for this. Women will take their demonics to the grave

Here's #1 looking up the statistic that you provided and no scholarly sources popped up. Im disappointed in you.

People have already stated in the comments there that they can only access the abstract and you claim to not have the ability to screenshot the part in the article that has the data you're talking about

I also found a comment on Facebook explaining that the source doesn’t exist, along with a pretty insightful look into why women actually don’t want to admit being wrong in general. I can post a screenshot of it in a sec

There is no abstract either. It’s not a real study

upvote 14 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #4 1w

Which part? I’m not presenting the screenshot as fact, it’s just a personal anecdote from someone who also proved the alleged study to be fake, or at the very least grossly misinterpreted if it does exist. The screenshot was just to show that this idea of women not taking accountability, regardless of the rate of it, boils down to a lack of security and fear of abandonment, rather than malice or pride.

Nah I appreciate that! I can see how it could’ve been a confusing claim on my part. Definitely disagree with OP on this one

The study has been found to not correlate at all to what he is claiming. This dude is just trying to further the divide between men and women by showing how "smart" he is

upvote 14 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #4 1w

Yeah the abstract is about sentencing disparities. At least it is for the article he linked in ask women

upvote 4 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #6 1w

It’s actually sad that OP is like this cause it’s a very interesting article topic about how women may not take plea deals because they often get lighter sentencing. If I had access I would actually like to read it lol

upvote 18 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #2 1w

This comment alone helped me connect the dots on how we got to the fake stat. I’m assuming a high number of women not taking plea deals somehow got warped into accountability since they’re not admitting fault in a legal sense. Regardless, if a plea deal is an option in a trial they’re probably going to prison anyway. Wild how stats mean nothing when they’re grossly misinterpreted by some man with a low exposure podcast

Also it doesn’t show how I think (I can’t read the article) it’s about drug offenses mostly, which can have gang activity from women. This leads to the possibility of higher risks if they “snitch”, especially as a woman. It’s just a actual r word trying to twist real studies

upvote 14 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #2 1w

I also wonder if it factors in other reasons one might not take a plea deal like not wanting something permanently on their record

Understandably though. What if a woman came here and said are we surprised that men commit 90% of rape and murder?

I wasn’t pissed lol, just wanted your source

upvote 9 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #7 1w

That would be a fair statement bc it’s mostly true, terrible people exist. however on the other side of the same coin, you must also recognize that more than 90% of widely recognized great figures have been men

upvote -5 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #1 1w

What % of great figures would be women if we had the opportunity to be great figures throughout history

upvote 22 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 1w

Also a lot of “great male figures” were great because they had the help of some great women

upvote 19 downvote

If given the opportunity, a larger amount, but not close to 1:1. Usually the assist doesn’t take the credit

upvote 5 downvote

I’m not talking just assist. Mary Shelly didn’t just assist in the writing of Frankenstein lmao

upvote 14 downvote

Well it’s not the same coin really. Because being a known inventor as a man doesn’t make up for our gender taking up the vast majority of violent crimes.

Through a basic understanding of evolutionary psychology, some things just are. That’s a great unique instance, they both provided us with their time tested work

upvote -6 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #7 1w

Def not, especially if you’re trying to correlate the two. If you’re looking at this from a normal distribution perspective, you’ll see that men will mostly reside at both ends of the extremes. They are both our geniuses of the world and our despicable specs of dirt we all wish didn’t exist

upvote -6 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 1w

Bruh evolutionary psychology tells you men are by nature more likely to be great? Fuck off

upvote 23 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #1 1w

Well both are a result of the patriarchy of you think about it. Because men had so much power and women had no rights nothing stopped them from raping and murdering and women weren’t allowed to go to college and were discriminated against hence why we don’t have a plethora of female historical figures as men. To imply men are the superior geniuses just because we are men is false, and to imply we rape and murder just because we are men is equally false

I don’t think you understood what I said, the extremes are easily outnumbered by the average in this distribution model meaning most men won’t fall under either category. Your straw man doesn’t apply.
