It mainly matters bc I'm dating to marry someone and it'd be terrible to marry someone and later find out they have some insane worldview that's incompatible with mine

I misread it and voted wrong. Someone’s politics show their beliefs and values, and there’s certain issues that if we disagree there’s no way a relationship would work out. Someone’s politics matter a lot to me if I’m looking to date them
