Prob because your eyes are lower than the top of your head so from your perspective people are taller relative to you. Also possible you are in a whiter part of the country

Maybe it’s the fact that it’s a white area. I’m not tripping though, most people are 6’1+

yeah this is common where I grew up, I’m from the midwest where there are a ton of ppl with like german or scandinavian heritage (tall ppl). other places just have shorter people. I went to college with a guy who was 5’8 and thought of himself as being tall because he grew up in an area with a lot of shorter people
