The first time I thought that, I gave 100%, acted like a perfect 11/10 golden retriever grade loverboy and did everything she said she wanted & everything my exs told me they wish I’d done. Having now learned my lesson (or at least what doesn’t work) if it ever happens again, I’ll try confusing her more. I’ll feign commitment issues and communicate badly and drop subtle hints I wanna spend less time together. That’s got me 3 (unwanted) proposals before. Why, what’s ur man doing?

i mean i wouldn't call anyone "wife" unless i've been dating them for a while and i genuinely think i might marry them. but i would tell them that i want to marry eventually
