i'm trying to ramp up my workout gains (mostly upper body hypertrophy). is this a good plan, or can it be changed? also any advice for diet/lifestyle?

I’d follow a ppl split if you’re just starting out. There’s quite a lot missing in your current split imo

I’d split up the muscle groups less and go for a push, pull, legs split

Push, pull, legs. Push= chest, triceps, and shoulders, pull= back and biceps, legs=legs. It’s a basic split but can be very effective.

https://youtu.be/qVek72z3F1U?si=eS0iYDbZSFN1SNY3 This video is 4 years old but alot of good information. Jeff Nippard has great fitness advice, I’d recommend just getting a grasp of what each muscle group is. Tip #1 is also focusing on your form that will be the most important through your lifting career
