me and this guy previously talked but decided on being friends he said he would pick me up something i had wanted and drop it off at my house since i had surgery a week ago is this just friendly or slightly more then and he might have some feelings

Who decided on being friends? Unless it was you deciding on being friends when he wanted to date then I think this is likely just someone being a nice caring friend. Which sucks if you’re hoping for more but also reassuring that you still have a good person / friend in your life.

we both decided on being friends bc of the timing that was going on in our lives at the time i had brought it up and he officially ended it ig

I mean in general that is something someone would do as a close and caring friend, but it sounds like in your case you did have mutual feelings for one another, but the circumstances weren’t right to act on them for whatever reason.

In general I wouldn’t inherently read feelings into those actions, but it’s something you’d do for both a close friend and a romantic partner, and you’ve already established you both have feelings for one another.
