No longer as vast a majority, but yes, they do. I’ve traveled to 43 countries, and the “western” conceptions of dating where one has sex outside marriage are not common.

i’m aware the west is the most sexually open region, but i still wouldn’t say it’s even close to majority of the rest of the world that actually waits for marriage. i mean is there any data to support your claim or are you just going off your experience of the culture ?

There’s no actionable data to support either claim afaik, ergo anecdotal evidence holds weight. I’ve been to several cities in China and India, which have the world’s largest populations and from talking to people our age and older it doesn’t really seem common at all. This was the common pattern I’d see in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. South America and Europe were more like us here

yeah no offense but i’m not gonna take your personal anecdotal evidence of you just talking to people as fact lmao. doesn’t hold much weight at. that's not enough to infer what 8 billion people do globally. large international surveys on age at first sex and age at marriage are much stronger evidence than ur travel impressions, and those surveys show substantial premarital sex in many populations

None taken, you’re free to think as you’d like. I’d just caution that there aren’t any global surveys gauging rates of pre marital sex, so you're basically just going off a feeling over someone that's at least actually traveled and spoken to people about their cultures widely. You could also travel yourself and check stuff out, but as far as my own experience tells me we are in the minority globally on this
