I have pretty bad retro active jealousy although I had more sexual experiences than my gf. Mostly cuz she was f buddies with an asshole and I can’t stop imagining that she found him really attractive and was fine with him being shitty?

i recommend maybe talking to a therapist abt this issue. its normal to feel jealous but the fantasies and the insecurities you have abt something that happened in the past shouldn't be this bad. you need to be able to trust her

Anyone deal with similar feelings? She eventually cut him off and she said because he lied to her a lot.

She tells me her self esteem was really low and she would not see him often and only would when she was drunk/high. I can’t help but compare myself to him and thinking somehow she sexually desired him more than me as he was shitty but she still saw him.

It just seems like you're constantly comparing yourself to her ex f buddy, and trying to wrap your mind around why she choose him. If you trust what she's saying that it was only when she was under the influence and a product of her low self esteem, you should trust that she now knows her worth and wouldn't go back.

Makes sense and she has told me that she doesn’t find him more attractive than me, but still I have this fear of being the “safe” choice and not the one she physically/sexually wants😭
