Mean girls aside, it’s because we don’t have to like women have to, or at least like they should. Women face more dangers in day to day life than we do so it’s like protection in numbers

If you mean why don’t we stand up for other men we don’t know in public, it’s most likely because we don’t view it as necessary. We usually think we candle things even when we can’t, so we are more likely to help women and children in the area expecting the other men to also do the same.
