to straight men: if a woman starts dressing more provocative (cleavage, shorter shorts) does it catch your eye even if you’re friends? i’ve been dressing up lately and notice my male friends looking at me differently; wondering if its a problem or normal.

If it’s more obvious it’s gonna catch my eye. That’s like asking if there’s a nun and someone wearing a bikini, who’s body am I gonna see more of

Wdym by “problem”? From describing your own outfits as “provocative” it sounds like you’re trying to catch their eyes on purpose, if I’m understanding you correctly. No doubt they have noticed. But being looked at is only a problem if you don’t want to be. DO you want to be?

If the boobs are out, people will look at boobs. Friends, strangers, everyone. Accept it as a fact of life

provocative is just how i would describe it based on how ppl where im from usually dress. these are regular cute outfits that show some skin, but nothing wild. and by problem i mean does staring mean hes thinking of me in a non friendly

What do you mean “non friendly”? Do you mean does he feel any less friendship towards you? No, not at all. Or do you mean does he want to have sex with you? Yes, he does (though not because of the outfit; he already did). And if you’re about to say something stupid (sorry); yes, those can both be true and no, they are not mutually exclusive and his attraction to you doesnt diminish his fondness for you; he’s a man, (the voices in your head and/or group chat telling you otherwise are just mean).
