I'm straight ace and politically left too, and I hope you're not hard on yourself about this. It can be hard for people like us to date especially when we live in conservative areas, but what I've learned very quickly is that if someone isn't accepting of you, then they're not the right person for you and it's honestly better that way. You wouldn't want to be in a situation where someone constantly belittles you for what you believe or your identity

I have the same issue but I’m very fem presenting. I identify as nonbinary, but I have long hair and a large chest and I like wearing makeup - so it’s hard to be taken seriously as someone who’s asexual and nb. I’ve kind of accepted I’ll just be alone
