Do guys genuinely want to be a provider? Or do they have that role pushed onto them and they just go with it

Only if it’s met with appreciation, gratitude, and respect. Otherwise it can start to feel like we’re being taken advantage of

We get joy out of going out and “hunting things” then bringing the best parts of whatever we hunted back for the people we love. It’s one reason when a gift or something we have given, even time, is rejected by a girl we like, hits extra hard. BC it’s like “is what I’ve provided not enough?”

That reminds me of my parents lol My dad gives gifts to my mom on occasion which can be flowers, jewelry, or something nice and her reaction to that is "how much did it cost? It better not be expensive" or "I don't want this or need this" so my dad stopped giving her gifts and she complains about that loll

Had a career before Auburn that gave me access to places most people can’t go, collected rare one of a kind things from those locations, timepieces, priceless if anyone knew what they actually were, gave them to girls, and thus they sit on their dressers while they date guys who aren’t me 🤦‍♂️ That’s on me. If a girl isn’t appreciating what you bring to her, it’s time to leave, and I wish I had realized that sooner. (Not that your dad should leave your mom… but you should probably talk2them)

My mom does the same thing to me and everyone else haha she just has a huge fear of not having money so she hates getting gifts. But I do agree she doesn't need to yell or argue over it
