I'd be upset but I'd get over it. I would only consider some distance if her new hair looked genuinely awful or made her look like a dude and she had no interest in growing it back out. Hair grows back, if she wants to experiment with a shorter style I can suck it up for a little while, but a permanent change is going to have more of an impact on me.
