that's what im trying to encourage. saying "stereotypes exist for a reason" just enforces more harmful narratives for everyone involved. you shouldn't assume something about someone just bc they fall in a specific category or group. it will just further encourage the stereotype to be true, "everyone sees me as ______ so might as well be _______" instead of taking the effort to see someone for who they are

Is it so hard for you to be funny all on your own, you have to joke about peoples traumatic experiences? That just made lose the little respect I had for you.
