Should I clarify that ‘Netflix and chill’ is literally going through my movie list (watching them) and drinking tea and eating toast with fruits? I don’t want any nonsense, need him locked in🫩

Tbh, I would word it as an OMG I just realized how that sounded gag, and say you just wanna watch a movie if you wanna keep things cold. If you wanna have a shot at a relationship with this person, just see where things go 🤷‍♂️

I’d hate to be the friends of the ppl who see hanging out and chilling as an invitation to sex I’m really sorry to all the sweet girls who genuinely want true friendship

Dudes still gonna try, can’t put him in a bed or couch with contact and not trigger a back boner

If a man is like this, I can’t very well call him a man, no? More so a dog in heat, yes?:) Also, he was pretty casual abt it and didn’t say or try anything. I could also tell he didn’t get a boner cuz we were cuddling lol

Thank you, said almost exactly this and we just laughed and he said “knowing your way of phrasing things, I definitely want wasn’t expecting that” :)

You literally invited him over for sex lmao. Don’t invite dudes over to your apartment early if you don’t want that expectation fr

Are you autistic? This is legitimately one of the only ways you didn’t get the memo of what this means. I’m being real btw

I feel u girl these guys just really sad, u just wanted to watch a movie and that’s what u said “chill and watch Netflix” is very different from Netflix and chill

I’m a woman. Legitimately if I invite someone over to my place and early on in dating to “chill and watch netflix” it means sex, and both of us know it means sex. Or at the very least it means cuddling and making out, and seeing where it leads to

Same way if for the first date a man invites you to his place “to chill” you know he’s a fuckboy lol. Everyone knows what that means

We’ve hung out before plenty of times, just not at each other’s apartments. We’ve been talking for a month and this is the first time I’ve invited him over, we’ve only had a few kisses and (finally) confirmed our relationship this morning. No Im not autistic and I thought to clarify to him abt it exactly cuz I know how that can come out (Netflix and chill). I knew he wouldn’t take it that way, but I was still a bit hesitant

Let’s not be dense💀 you can throw it up flip it and reverse it and the phrase “Netflix and chill” will always mean sex. This isn’t about men being sad it’s literally what the phrase means. Just tell him you are not open to any sexual activity and legit just want to watch a movie together… on your couch

How abt men stop assuming being invited to her house to chill always means sex, this is why she got into the situation in the first place and why she feels this way after

Legitimately if you offer someone to come over to your apartment to “chill” it means sex in a new relationship. Ask him once he arrives whether he brought a condom or not, guarantee he says yes. If you don’t want him to make a move, don’t invite him to your apartment. Go on more real dates, not “chill and cuddle”.

This has nothing to do with men, you just want another reason to call us pieces of shit. It’s common street knowledge what the phrase really means. Fucking Merriam Webster defines it!

I’m a woman and I agree. This is literally common knowledge. Ask someone over to your place to “chill” is a hookup. Don’t invite new relationships over to your place if you don’t want them to make a move.

And who set that system up 👀 I can tell u it ain’t women who actually want to chill and watch something, if u want sex ask her for it don’t just assume bc that leads to SA, stay educated y’all ✌️

Are you stupid? Or just don’t get laid? And no, it doesn’t lead to sexual assault. You can always say no, and there are steps to things. It’s not like someone just grabs you and fucks you lmao. That doesn’t happen. If you legitimately feel like you can’t say “no” at all, you should never be having casual sex. You’re not mature enough then.

If u actually been put in a situation like that you’d know “NO” won’t stop them this is seriously giving 🍇 apologist

Ok, you’re just being purposely obtuse. I’m talking about expectations from language. And you’re just pretending like “netflix and chill” doesn’t mean exactly what everyone says it is. And you’re acting like if we have that expectation based upon the literal definition, you’re a rapists. You’re acting like you shouldn’t say “no” then if someone is pushing boundaries. Like of course you should maintain boundary and say no wtf are you talking about. You need to communicate.

Like of course, when it comes down to it people still need to ask for consent. but that expectation of “netflix and chill” means inviting over for sex is very real. Like if I invite someone over for that, that is my expectation.

Ur saying I’m obtuse when ur literally going around the fact of my point, men shouldn’t assume anything especially if she says she just wants to chill, unless she is straightforward asf w it don’t expect no sex, chilling and hanging out never equated to sex

If I invite someone to “chill” I am inviting them to hookup with me, yes. That is what that means.

Then say u want sex bro wtf? why the hell it needs to be vague and left for someone to assume, this is why women get in situations they really don’t wanna be in so often

Because everyone knows “chill” means sex except for you apparently. There’s a reason the comment “whose gonna tell her” got so many upvotes. It’s not literal. That’s why I asked if they were autistic, because I legitimately don’t know a single person who doesn’t know this unless they’re a virgin or take things too literal.

Going around the whole point again but ykw as long as u are asking for consent and not putting ppl in weird situations but ur a woman and i am thinking u deal w men sooo I don’t really think that would be happening anyways, u would be more likely to have sum weird happen to u
