i genuinely don't understand how physical attractiveness can be separated from the intimate connection? like i would rather be with a man im less physically attracted too that treats me right than one im super attracted too that's abusive.

Both are highly important, it’s certainly not superficial to place importance on physical attraction, but sometimes the more I get to know someone my physical attraction grows. Like, I can’t even lie, the girl I’m dating rn I probably wouldn’t have gone out of my way to approach her on the street, but I found her intriguing enough to like on hinge, and now I’m crazy about her I think she’s so beautiful

Well, at least in my personal anecdote people tend to be with those in a similar range of conventional attractiveness. I can’t tell you the last time I’ve seen a super cute girl with someone who is fat, has fashion sense, etc. Luckily a raging majority of people have control over their appearance, it’s just takes patience and dedication

i'm demisexual. so physical attraction depends on that emotional connection and the way he treats me. i wouldn't have sex with anyone if that emotional connection isn't there even if i find them objectively attractive
