i can attest. i was not in a good spot 2 years ago and was suicidal, but im so glad i held on bc i now have a life that i want to live for. take small steps, and don't get mad at yourself for setbacks. as long as you have the will to make a better life, your ups and downs will still be an upward trend. and make sure to take care of your health (talking to someone, going on walks, eating well, cleaning up, socializing, etc)
You deserve to see the other side of your mental illness and your loved ones do too. Something I started is a notes app in my phone “good things are happening to me all the time” and you just write down EVERY positive thing. My two most recent entries are “had a good BLT with avocado that I made” AND “the dentist told me I have nice teeth”. It doesn’t have to be deep existential stuff, but little things to remind you that as terrifying as it all seems right now, good things ARE happening to you
