doctors are only open during work hours and show up an hour late to your appointment. i just lost half a days wages on top of the actual cost of the check up. the benefit of a regular check up rarely outweighs the loss of a day and money that comes with going to a doctor

Because many doctors look like a walking or bloated corpse while trying to tell us our health insurance and magic pills are the solution while they collect a kickback from the pharmaceutical industry.

So a few things do you not communicate with your employer that you have a doctors appointment? and my doctors never been an hour late to my appointments. thats just unprofessional. im just saying if you're willing to take the risk and neglect your health when you're young then it's going be even more expensive as you age.

“taking care of OUR mental health” were the words OP used. not just yours. you dismissed the mental health of more than just yourself dude. and YOU are a part of men. She was clearly not talking about men as a collective in that response lmao. And I absolutely can help others without helping myself. I do it all the time. My attitude towards myself isn’t part of that nor is it relevant when I’m helping my fellow men.

What you need to understand is that if you’re like me and you genuinely are cooked in all aspects of life, you either know and accept it or know and deny it. And the ones who know and deny it are really the ones who crash and burn hard. The ones who know and accept it like me know how to help other guys who are going through a rough time because we have that perspective as someone who was doomed from the start

but because i want to share my perspective anyway, I will. i was referring too both your specific mental health AND men's mental health as a whole. something that i believe is severely lacking in awareness. you can't be an advocate for men's mental health if you truly believe that male suicide is a simple truth of life for men. to me that's like saying you're a vegetarian but allow yourself eat bacon every morning. then you're simply not a vegetarian.

Being a narcissistic hypocrite will literally get you nowhere in life. Which is why you probably think you are "chopped in all aspects of life" maybe instead of approaching life in this highly cynical manner, and started to see that you're just like everyone else and the things you do will affect other people you'll start to see things in a different light
