I never swore as a kid, and didn’t leave the house during Covid, so I started swearing a decent bit since I only spent time with people my age after the world opened up. I end up at Costco with my siblings and I start swearing before realizing there are kids nearby, and I suddenly understand how you end up with that one uncle that teaches their nieces and nephews every swear and slur under the sun. I do not condone that behavior, but it made me more aware of when I swear, and how loud I swear in public. Swearing in front of kids is not a good feeling, but it is very easy to do if you are not intentional. So I agree with what you said
