They don’t. But sometimes they go out with a girl who they think they are attracted to, and then her personality convinces them otherwise

i know thats not true because ive been out with people who tell me afterwards that they werent that interested, and I have guy friends currently dating girls theh dont find attractive or enjoy hanging out with
