Depending on the genre and tone of the film, I feel like the magnitude of emotional response can differ from men to women, but I think most men and women can agree on the basic lessons and themes of a movie

I've heard so many dudes completely miss the point of movies by glazing the hell out of the main male character. I honestly do think it's a bit gender related, at least in my own experience guys tend to idolize a male figure flaws and all if he's cool
