The primary means of production is the labor force and I’m pretty sure that seizing them is illegal in most countries.

Nah, the means of production are basically the factors that enable, facilitate or enhance the output of labor in some way. Like in the case of a farm, the means of production would be things like seeds, tools, fertile land, and transportation/logistics
