i didn't think to carry any with me bc it was the middle of the day at a barns and noble, also if i did i feel like he would've called the police and i would've gotten in trouble bc im black and he was white

Something that might help in a situation in public in the future is to very loudly say to leave you alone. It might be a little awkward, but it draws attention to the both of you and now the creep has people aware he’s there and that something may be wrong
