Am I weird for saying “I date with the intention of marriage” on hinge?? ofc marriage is just a piece of paper but when/if I start a relationship it’s because I hope we get married before we die

It’s not weird if it’s what you want, but it is weird to say it’s just a piece of paper

I also want to date for marriage (f) but I just have a question. Is it weird to put that down on my profile? I wonder if it would scare guys off

Doesn’t hinge literally out you put a blurb in your bio where you can state youre looking for a life partner

Ngl I’m actually wary of people who put life partner on their bio in their 20’s. Cause it’s like duh who wouldn’t want that. I think long term is fine enough but when you put life partner it kinda gives like an ultimatum. Like this HAS to be forever and some things just fade out unexpectedly sometimes in relationships. So it tells me that person probs cannot realistically think or been in something long enough to know that a life partner sometimes isn’t for LIFE. Unless rly religious maybe.

I was with my ex for 5 years (senior year of high school and all of uni. Graduating this spring) so I do understand what a life partner means lol and how long forever is
