I’d treat my wife differently if she was the dumbass mother who let her kid get into the gorilla exhibit, but I don’t blame the kid so I definitely wouldn’t treat him differently

Outside of noting he might have mixed emotional reactions around Gorillas and Zookeepers with guns, not really. Both can be overcome.
