and it doesn’t bother me. him lasting long is not something that’s important to me, it’s important to me that our sex is loving and makes us feel connected and it always does. but i can tell afterwards that he’s insecure or feels guilty about it and i don’t know how to reassure him

Don’t reassure him by saying “it’s okay I really don’t mind” try and show him in the moment how much you’re enjoying it.

Do YOU finish at any point during this? That may be the primary point of contention for him. That he isn’t providing you release.
