What are y’all’s actual thoughts on women with nerdy hobbies? Like I love comics, I go to comic con and always cosplay at it, I’m good at marvel rivals, I play MTG and am good at it too.

That’s good, but I’m not that nerdy so I doubt they’d like me

Fantastic! As a guy, I don’t feel like my “nerdy hobbies” are appreciated by most women. 😔

That’s super hot, you would be exactly the type of girl I could bring with me to game nights with the boys, which is awesome!

I still don’t understand why we consider stuff like this is ‘nerdy’ though. Cosplay at comic-con, sure, but video games? MTG? I mean I just don’t see how it’s any more nerdy than being a sports fan or smth.

Super hot. A woman with passion and goals is generally just attractive. Anyone with passion or goals tbh. Unfortunately if you’re like a 4/10 it has the opposite effect but less if you’re a girl. Unless its your main thing and it comes off like you’re absorbed by it

Okay, now I’m curious what you do count as nerdy?

Like super niche stuff. I play D&D, and I reenact. Out of those two, I consider reenacting to be nerdy (it’s niche, requires immense technical and historical knowledge, and is a huge investment). D&D is kinda too mainstream nowadays for me to call it ‘nerdy’ in earnest. Same applies to video games, MTG and the like. Cosplay is nerdy tho. 👍

I mean I have other interests and am capable of doing things that don’t fall into these categories but it is like the stuff I like most, a fair amount of my outfits are ripped jeans and tee shirts with something from one of my interests on it and if I’m going to have something like a useful item such as a water bottle I’d rather it be something to do with my interests like the one I use is transformers themed

I would argue it doesn’t matter how mainstream a thing is for it to be nerdy. Nerd culture is encompasses a lot of things, you can be into history or dnd or comics or science. Just because some things from nerd culture become more mainstream because of shifting pop culture and popular media doesn’t make it not nerdy

Thats super cute then. I think you just being you is attractive enough, find a guy that appreciates that. Or girl 🤷‍♂️
