Insta is just better. I technically have tiktok but it’s only to see what people send me.

My school blocked it and I didn't want ti get a VPN, so I got used to Reels and my algorithm there is funnier now. I do have it, just barely use it niw

Insta is easier to navigate and is a little bit better when it comes to not completely rotting my attention span

I don’t use tiktok or reels, endlessly scrollable video content just doesn’t seem like a positive use of my time. I’ll watch stuff people send me and that’s it

What did you find hard to navigate about TikTok? Maybe it’s just cuz I basically only scroll on fyp I don’t post or anything but I’ve never had any problems like that

TikTok is way worse at promoting sexist and divisive content, insta does it too but I have been able to filter it pretty well.

It’s interesting you think so because in my experience my algorithm mainly promotes leftists and people calling that stuff out rather than that kind of material itself. A lot of the other stuff I see are memes and other stuff but of the political things I do see that’s been my experience. With Instagram on the other hand I’ve seen lots of racism and sexism unfiltered in comments sections(slurs and all) along with straight up gore. Instagram filters almost nothing from my understanding

My instagram is most leftists but often does get sexist radfems unfortunately. But instagram u can pus a button to filter those things out and it worked well for me
