It def depends on the local culture but in my experience usually some combination of getting burned in the past or wanting to be open but not wanting to be perceived as polyamorous

I don’t really care when people down vote in this app. Obviously not all gay men are like this, but if it’s a common issue, there’s probably a mismatch of priorities within the relationship.
