Obligatory not a question but to any of y’all that are considering leg lengthening surgery pls never do it!! There’s so many reasons why you shouldn’t, but ultimately, if someone will only consider you attractive if you’re 2-3” taller, they’re no good

The only Vaild reason to a do a surgery like that is if one leg is shorter than the other and prevents proper walking

I saw one post about a man who got it. He can’t play with his kids anymore and it took him 2 years to be able to walk.

I don’t think anyone should shatter their femurs for attention from women. If you’re going to shatter your femurs, do it for you!

I have a friend that had to get it for medical reasons (numerous birth defects that had him disabled) and he said it was excruciating and took years to fully recover. He still walks to leg braces years later.

If there was a way to do it without taking away your ability to walk for years, it would probably be a good thing. I would definitely do it

Not to mention it’s about $100,000.00!!!!! If it’s just about getting woman, one would be better off putting that money towards a sports car 😂😂😂

but… it’s super affirming to them to be taller even though they weren’t born tall..? why discourage it?

Well, it’s a looong recovery period as you’ve basically disabled yourself and have to walk with a cane for up to 2 years I think (and that’s assuming no infections and complications)

I’m pretty sure they break your bones in half and then you slowly separate the bone halves further and further apart while new bone slowly grows in the gaps

This is so crazy to when you could get the same results by wearing shoes with thick soles and puffing up your hair

Yeah, and it’s not cheap either, and I doubt it’s covered by insurance unless you have a legitimate medical need (like malformed leg bones)

I don't know if this is a good thing or not, but this made me laugh

I’ve seen people on the internet get 1-2 inches taller from fixing postural issues, so that might be an option

Ngl if you want to be taller and never thought of standing up straighter that’s crazy 😭

Bc it literally disables you for a minimum of two years, you have to relearn how to walk, it’s possible you may never walk without pain again? it’s dangerous, high cost, high risk of complications, etc, etc. If they want to be tall just wear thick soles, it’s not worth risking your health.

if you weren’t born tall, dangerously forcing yourself to be taller isn’t worth the risk. find more reasonable ways to feel better about yourself than altering yourself medically is what i gathered^

its not so much standing up straighter more so if you've been slouching consistently you're whole life your spine is will not be able to adjust instantly. so it can take a while to achieve your true posture bc you have to train your body to not fall back into the default
