Is it fair to want to stay away from political arguments? Everybody is closed minded, thinks emotionally rather than logically, and just generally angry and toxic. And you get shunned not just for disagreeing with them, but refusing to agree with them.

Like the amount of times I’ve been accused of being a MAGAt or libtard for genuinely not being on either side of the spectrum is stupid

It’s fair to want certain times and places to be free of that type of conversation but avoiding it all together and refusing to take a side is immature. In times like these where corruption and crimes against humanity are so rampant it is your responsibility to know enough to take a real position. Not saying you have to be all in D or R but have a position

“Refusing to take a side” is the problem. Some people don’t want to be on the left or the right. Both sides discuss important issues, but most people don’t agree with one side completely. It’s not about picking a side, but about being true to yourself

I get what you’re saying, I guess I wasn’t as specific as I should be. I mean picking a side as far as supporting this administration, the people causing all this harm right now. I don’t care if you’re left or right but maga is a different thing and you should have an opinion on it. You can’t be indifferent about bombing fishermen and schools, destroying civilian infrastructure, legalizing racial profiling…etc. at least for me it is extremely off putting to meet an adult who doesn’t

Know at least a little about what’s going on or who can’t say if they oppose it or not.

Sitting on the sidelines of this type of extremism is just crazy to me

The fact that you admit you are picking an extreme is crazy to me. I just can’t stand for either side.

Picking an extreme? Is it extreme to oppose war crimes, corruption, and racism? That’s a very sane stance

If you think I’m being dramatic look into the Supreme Court decision legalizing racial profiling for ice agents. If you speak Spanish in a Lowe’s and ur white it’s chill but if you do that same thing and youre brown you can be arrested and held for days. That is pretty obviously something we should not be ok with

When did I say I was on the side of the right? I hate what legislation is doing but I don’t vote for them. As far as I’m aware, Biden was very supportive of Israel anyways 🤷‍♂️

See this is the issue. You should be responsible enough to tell the difference between the amount of harm caused by someone like Biden as opposed to someone like trump. Both having some issues does not make them in any way equivalent.

Never claimed you were on the right either
