As a woman that’s been assaulted numerous times (some in childhood), I hate that it isn’t taken seriously in men/boys. Dismissing one group’s experiences hurts everyone. OP I’m so sorry this happened to you and your loved ones.

That’s the thing is some people just don’t talk about it whether it was a man or women. There’s definitely more shame when it was a woman tho. All across the board we need to make people feel more comfortable to talk about these experiences

Someone was posting about this topic in ask women and the consensus was that people should care more about SA perpetrated by women, but also SA in general is underreported and under recognized

“they can speak up about it the same way women do” that’s LITERALLY what they’re doing in this post? it really sucks when us women are talking about our experiences with sa and men say “men get assaulted too,” so why are you trying to do the same thing to male victims who are trying to speak up?

You’re a raging sexist, misandrist and you’re upholding the patriarchy. Guys do get SA’d even if it’s not as common and there are those of us that care.
