Is a DUI a dealbreaker for yall? I just got one last night, it was my first time going out all year, and I just feel so stupid, guilty , and unloveable right now. 😭

yes. its extremely irresponsible and inconsiderate of everyone else on the road. wouldnt wanna be with someone who chooses to put others at risk rather than get an uber or call a friend

No that doesn’t materially affect me or the relationship so no it’s not a dealbreaker. I’d suggest just keeping that info to yourself. That kind of thing is more appropriate for job prospects in that case you’d want to disclose it ofcourse under the advice of your own legal counsel.

From what I can tell, getting a dui won’t ruin your life unless you become a repeat offender. You really just need to make sure you’ve learned your lesson (which I’m sure you have)

Yeah like I said it was my first time going out in a year, didn’t think I had too much to drink, was hella confident in my driving ability. In hindsight it was so stupid but we were just trying to make a short drive 😔 I feel horrible about it now

I def got speed trapped and had the slutty fit and bar wristband on sooo… 😭 and ik the only mistake I made on the test was the fact I forgot the number he told me to count down to when I was raising my foot (he interrupted me right when I started and I immediately asked what the number was again and he told me he couldnt say it) so I didn’t know what number I was even counting down from. Ugh 😣😣😣

the officer that did one of the DUI arrests died so he said since the arresting officer couldn’t come to court he only has 2 on his record but idk if hes lying or what.

I won’t even touching a car if there’s a drop in my system after this. ‘Twas my first time really ever going out as a driver and didnt feel intoxicated. Have never driven with alcohol in my system prior My honest (and one-time) mistake.
