We don’t take them well that’s on us not you, if it’s clothes say, “ I really like that jacket!” Leave off the “ on you” then it’s less embarrassing, we’re more open to “ I really enjoyed ____ that was fun” need more? Or give me an example

^ and if it’s something about the guy’s behavior, put it in terms of “i like your-“ and not “you have a nice-“ ex. “I like your smile” vs “you have a nice smile” (it feels more genuine if you say that YOU like it)
