
Also, I will say, there’s a good chance the person making you uncomfortable may just not know how to read body language or other indirect social cues or “hints”. It very well may be unintentional on his part without malicious intent. Reading social cues is something that’s not really taught to guys but should be, as many men, especially those such as myself who are neurodivergent, aren’t able to learn this on their own.
I understand telling the guy directly that you aren’t interested can be a safety issue on the chance he is intentionally disregarding your hints with malicious intent, so of course prioritize your own safety. If there is a way to safely communicate with him directly though, where you have someone backing you in case he reacts poorly, just don’t assume that he is intentionally making you uncomfortable or being a creep.
