i know in social situations that men often interpret the word “fear” as fear of awkwardness instead of fear for safety, because why would a man feel afraid for their safety in a social situation, you’re not used to it. but when women talk about being scared or fearful, we mean we are ACTUALLY afraid of being PHYSICALLY hurt. so when i say fear, i mean fear. and when i say rape, i mean rape
