I mean a credit card is basically a bank loaning you money that you then have to pay off. It's as if you have a friend who pays but says you can pay me back later. If it's completely paid off by the due date there is no interest. If it's not all paid off by the due date the balance accrues interest at a decent rate. Most cards will let you have a cash advance but never for free. That credit limit is how much they trust you to borrow. It's not like cash available for the taking.
