Personally, I wouldn’t block someone unless they were really living rent free in my head, my partner specifically asked me to, or if this person was hitting me up all the time after I told them I’m in a relationship and I got annoyed.

But in general I typically would just delete the chat, mute them, and forget they existed if I was the one in the relationship. (I also don’t know if this particular dude is in a relationship but that’s my guess) I just notice this happens a lot with some of the guys I talk to. I feel like blocking is a bit extreme.
